Proud to be Winners!
2012 was the first year that The University of Manchester made an official entry into the Pride parade, and guess what? We won!
We were proud to be awarded the title of Best Public Sector Parade Entry, a real testimony to the hard work and dedication that our staff, students, friends and family put into making our commitment stand out in the crowd.
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our 2012 Pride entry - whether it be attending to meetings, helping make items for the parade, booking services, attending a Fringe event at the University, participating in the parade or cheering us on from the streets of Manchester up on the day - every single person played a vital part in bringing this together for the University and the LGBT Staff Network Group.Paul Marks-Jones, University Equality & Diversity
